Hi, my Reliability Monitor System Stability Chart stopped updating on september 1, 2008.

I've checked Task Schedular and RACAgent is still running: Status is Queued; Last Run Result is "Unspecified error (0x8007000D). After running , no file in C: \Program Data\Microsoft\RAC\Published Data and one file "RACREPCATALOG" in the State Data directory.

The reliability of a system is the measure of how often the system operates as it is configured and expected to perform.

Reliability can be reduced when applications stop responding, services stop and restart, drivers fail to initialize, or in the worst case, when operating systems fail.

Windows Server® 2008 includes Windows Reliability and Performance Monitor, which is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in that combines the functionality of previous stand-alone tools including Performance Logs and Alerts, Server Performance Advisor, and System Monitor.

It provides a graphical interface for customizing Data Collector Sets and Event Trace Sessions.

Reliability Monitor presents the data in the form of a line chart that provides a system stability overview with detailed information about individual events that may affect the system’s overall stability.

By combining what Reliability Monitor logs, and the Events Logs and is detailed in problem reports you are further along in finding out what is causing Windows problems.

You can select any day from the graph by clicking on its column and the Reliability Monitor will show you the System Stability Index for that day together with additional information, in case any important system events took place.

To view all available historical data, click the drop-down date menu and click to browse dates outside the visible range.
