MICHIGAN — It can be tough at times when you’re single to know what others are looking for.
But one Michigan State University student is getting attention for his attempt at making it easier.
Some of Joey’s listed skills include making small talk with parents, crying during the movie “Marley and Me” and acting like a dad in public.
However in March, a fellow MSU student, Ashley Harrington, posted in a Facebook group for the class of 2018 in hopes of finding a formal date for her roommate.
Michigan State University junior Joey Adams' phone has been ringing non-stop.
His objective is “To find a honey with a bitchin' family who enjoys sushi, adventures and good movies.” He also listed out he makes great small-talk with parents and cries during ‘Marley and Me'.
So, his resume actually went viral, thanks to a Facebook post.
The dating resume he posted on Facebook last week "started as a joke," Adams said. Earlier in the semester, Adams saw a "gorgeous" girl on MSU's campus and eventually worked up the courage to ask her out on a date."She asked if I had a dating resume," he said.
"I didn't have one, so she told me no."Afterward, Adams, 21, spent two or three hours making a dating resume in case another girl ever asked.
So I worked up the courage to approach her and ask her to dinner. ) and asked if I had a dating resume she could view.
I obviously said no & received her blunt 'no thanks then' in return." TLDR: last weekend I got turned down for not having a 'dating resume'... ---- Full story: Last weekend I saw an absolutely gorgeous girl in the caf.
So, it all started when Adams asked a girl on a date in the school cafeteria.
Since then the story has been picked up by the Lansing State Journal, WJBK, and Yours Truly, among others.
Fox 2 reports Joey Adams, 21, created a “dating resume” after asking a girl out who eventually rejected him.
